Description

Sahat Al-Nour (Light Square), also referred to as Sahat Allah (God Square) because of the sign in the center of the roundabout. It takes a central place in the city, seemingly demarcating Tripoli as Sunni Muslim. In the picture, it takes diminished prominence with the letters blending into the grass below and the billboards surrounding it, including one for Halabi sweets, a well-known institution located beneath the sign.
