Description
Similar signs are found around certain parts of Beirut–as well as Cairo and Paris–are often to indicate the office of a doctor (or dentist) or lawyer. The typography and the coloring in black and white is a traditional style that seems to indicate the person in the office is from an older generation. The signs are often multilingual–in Arabic plus English and/or French–which gives the impression that the person was educated abroad or in a school that employs a foreign system to add to his or her credentials.
